@lizith - @NSRiazat I did a rough outline after about 6 months and revise it regularly as my ideas develop and I go through another iteration #phdchat

@drjavafox - From the beginning my supervisor urged me to come up w a Table of Contents (ToC) as a 'scaffolding' to my thesis #phdchat

@anandan22 - @salma_patel It depends on ur past rsrch exp. If u hv previous exp, you shd be moving ahead with some structure in place #phdchat

@raulpacheco - #phdchat my thesis was structured as a book manuscript but my university encourages now assembly of journal articles - different approaches

@Blues76 - #phdchat but the structure should be very str8 forward. Introduction, State of the art (Background theory) , Proposed Methods, Evaluation...

@raulpacheco - #phdchat make sure your thesis complies with university guidelines - this applies to the TOC as well - remember it's in flux and not static

@anandan22 - It doesn't mater whether end output has to be in the form of a thesis or compilation of journal papers, mindmap & TOC would help! #phdchat

@misskatielowe - #phdchat I'm on the phone a lot of the day for work - oddly enough having to find simple but engaging way of discussing thesis has helped!
