@lizgloyn - #phdchat She didn't see any writing until I had a complete chapter draft, although some of those drafts were quite rough.

@ai1sa - and pretty much only use my twitter account for #phdchat ing so when i need company i turn it on (often it is on). stops sense of aloneness.

@weeladybird1981 - #phdchat one of my supervisors moved to south east asia at start of my 3rd yr. we communicate via email and occasional skype and it's fine.

@lizith - I don't want a lot of physical contact at this stage - I'm mainly writing and want feedback & written comment more useful than meet #phdchat

@lizgloyn - @LBA_OX12 Probably about half and half, but is very focused - my work style is all reading or all writing, not a combo #phdchat

@literarychica - @LBA_OX12 I read and write all of the time. It helps keep the ideas flowing. It could also vary depending on discipline. #phdchat

@JeffreyKeefer - #phdchat I have come to believe there is no "normal" way to research / supervise a PhD, as so much depends on content and context.
