@leahmacvie - Also, I don't allow for procrastination. I set up a calendar for each one of my classes w/ tasks to do each day on Google calendar #phdchat

@PostFilm - PhD is gigantic, epic, sublime ... that's why you need small steps+a map of the territory worked out with your tutor regularly #phdchat

@NSRiazat - Academic librarian saved me a little bit of time and gave me a starting point to do my own research on databases and citations. #phdchat

@NSRiazat - Also went off on tangents with 'nice to read' research concepts that emerged but not directly relevant to thesis wasted lot of time #phdchat

@proofingskillz - @nsriazat Great tip! I run an academic #proofreading service. Our PhD clients benefit just from having a 2nd set of eyes sometimes #phdchat

@lizith - @NSRiazat @gawbul There is something about focusing when there is the white noise of conversation in caf that helps I find #phdchat
